
• Spencer Schaub, General Manager: Spencer
Schaub comes to Pronghorn with excess of 15 years experience in the
Golf Industry. His exciting career has taken him up the ranks and around
the world in the Golf Resort Community. Schaub began his career whilst
still in High School, as an Outside Services Staff Member at Traverse
City Golf & Country Club in Michigan and most recently he held the
position of General Manager at Bahia Beach and Golf Resort in Rio
Grande, Puerto Rico.
In 1999, upon completion of his Bachelor of
Science Degree in Business, Major in Marketing and a Professional Golf
Management Option and internships, Schaub began working for Troon Golf
at Eagle Ridge Inn and Resort in Galena, Illinois as the Tournament
Coordinator/Head Professional. From there he embarked on his tenure
overseas for Troon Golf in Brisbane, Australia, as the Operations
Manager. Schaub’s knowledge of working in the golf, hospitality and
development industry stems from vast experience at many internationally
recognized companies, namely; The Grove (UK), A Leading Hotel of the
World and host to the 2006 American Express World Golf Championships,
Leisurecorp – Owner and Developer of Jumeriah Golf Estates (Dubai),
hosts to the 2009 Dubai World Championship, Pearl Valley Golf Club
(South Africa), host to the South African Open and Turnberry Golf Resort
(Scotland), host of the 2009 British Open, plus various Troon Golf
Managed properties in the USA and Australia; when he was awarded the
2003 Troon Golf Associate of the Year and 2006 Troon Golf Excellence
Award. His International career has taken him around the world with
diverse roles including Director of Golf, Manager of International
Operations and General Manager.
Throughout his career, Spencer has
been involved in every aspect of running a Golf Resort Community. He has
been directly responsible for over $7 million in golf revenue,
established Audubon Certification practices, organized and hosted
worldwide recognized golf tours and developed strategic sales and
marketing plans to increase Club revenue and member and guest
satisfaction.
Spencer has worked for Troon Golf since 1999 and has
been fortunate enough to receive some fantastic awards and to work for
some outstanding resorts and golf developments. When Troon Golf and
Pronghorn joined forces in June 2010, Schaub was the ideal candidate to

• Bianca Oddone, Director of Operations:
Bianca joined Pronghorn as the Director of Operations at the end of May
2011. Bianca was raised in Truckee, California in Northstar where she
grew up in the resort lifestyle leading to a natural career path. She
graduated from the University of Oregon and comes to us with over 18
years of experience in the resort industry. She has opened and managed
at three resorts including The Northstar Club, The Village at Squaw
Valley and Suncadia. Previous positions held include Director of Rooms,
Director of Lodging Management, Executive Housekeeper and Owner
Relations Manager. She has extensive experience in hotel front office
management, front desk, concierge services, housekeeping, training,
homeowner’s associations, and managing private and rental owner

• Genene Cheatham, Director of Human Resources: is
an Oregon native, having grown up in Sisters, Oregon. She has lived in
multiple states and returned to Central Oregon ten years ago. Genene
began working with Pronghorn in August of 2003 and has watched the
Club’s growth from the beginning. She has been in Human Resources for
nearly twenty years, and enjoys the customer service aspect of the
hospitality industry. She doesn’t golf often, but is an avid fly
fisherman and spends as much time as possible with her husband in their
drift boat. Although her position is behind the scenes, she is very
passionate about Pronghorn and the quality of employee standards that

• David Freitag, Director of Agronomy:
is a steady and faithful employee who has worked on both of Pronghorn's
courses, and has achieved perfection on them and is beloved by
employees and members alike. David grew up in Bandon, OR, and graduated
from Oregon State University in 2001 with a degree in Turfgrass
Management. After completing internships at Waverly Country Club, The
Portland Golf Club and The Coeur D’Alene Resort, David was brought at
The Coeur D’Alene Resort. It was here that he developed the skills
necessary to maintain a golf course at its highest level. We are proud
to have him put his knowledge to use at Pronghorn. Email David
• Joey Pickavance, Head Golf Professional:
Joey has returned to Pronghorn this year after formerly serving as Pronghorn's Director of Instruction. He is coming from TPC Snoqualmie Ridge where he earned a "Top 10 Best" instructor in the state of Washington from Golf Digest. Joey has been an award winning member of the PGA for 25 years. He has served as the Head Golf Professional at La Quinta Hotel Golf Club, Montreux Golf and Country Club, and served as the General Manager and Director of Golf at The Bridges Golf Club in the San Francisco Bay area. Joey played collegiate golf at Saddleback College and California State University at Long Beach. He is happy to return to Pronghorn which he states is "one of the most special golf facilities" he has ever experienced.
• John Calderon, Director of Food & Beverage: John joins the Pronghorn team this Spring with more than twenty-five years of success in the hospitality and culinary business. John spent most of his childhood in Mexico City and attended Incarnate Word University in San Antonio, Texas. He subsequently graduated from The Culinary Institute of America, in New York. He has worked in New York, San Antonio, San Francisco and Seattle where he owned a restaurant for many years. Most recently, John was Food and Beverage Manager at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, Oregon. Over the years, John has been passionate about teaching and various charity events, as well as garnering best restaurant and print media accolades.
